Mancellon Studio
Process-led fiber arts exploring natural fibers, ecological materials, and embodied craft knowledge. Guided by the tactile wisdom of the hand.

The Maker
Sophie Mancellon is a multidisciplinary artist, designer, practitioner, and facilitator rooted in textiles. Her practice spans knit, weave, stitch, felt, print, natural dyeing, and mixed‑media construction, guided by process-led making and a deep curiosity for how fibers respond to touch, rhythm, and time. Working with natural and ecological materials, she creates contemporary textile-led artifacts shaped by embodied knowledge, material sensitivity, and slow, intentional craft.
Central to Sophie’s work are concepts of care and the often unseen labour embedded within textile processes. She explores how gestures accumulate, how surfaces hold memory, and how crafted forms quietly record the presence of the maker. As a facilitator, she leads workshops and community projects that make textile knowledge collective and accessible, encouraging intuitive making and hands-on learning.
